Fourth of July Blog Banner

Next Sunday, July 5th, we will be celebrating our Nation’s 239th Birthday. We will be singing several of our favorite patriotic songs during the service and having a special recognition of all of our military from every branch of the Armed Forces. Following the service we are having an old fashioned picnic with hamburgers and hot dogs. We are asking you to bring the side dishes: potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, etc. Please bring enough for your family and enough to share with any of our guests that may come. We will provide watermelon for dessert.

Starting June 28th and for the next 3 weeks we will be taking a break from our study in Matthew 5 and instead we will be looking at and speaking from II Chronicles 7:14. It is widely believed that America is in the worst condition that it has been in in our generation. I believe that the wounds our nation has suffered from are not fatal. In fact, I am very hopeful. Optimism often denies reality but, hope is a biblical concept that says even though everything looks bad, I believe in God. I will hope even in the midst of difficulty. I pray you will be faithful for the next few weeks as I share with you, “What will heal America” and “A prayer for our nation”.
