“June is bustin’ out all over…” says the song, and here at Sonshine, June is “bustin’” out with activity! This month is crammed with several different outreach and in-reach opportunities. On June 3rd, I will be starting a new session of my Sunday evening Life Group. We will do a six-week course on Methods of Bible Study. If you want to get more out of your time in God’s Word, be sure to attend this group on Sunday evenings at 5:00pm. Our Sonshine Kids’ Ministry will begin our Wednesday night VBS starting June 13th, and it will be an exciting time for our students. Later this month, a team of adults and our Sonshine Teens will be headed to the Seminole Indian Reservation for their annual mission trip to put on a VBS and help Pastor Payne, his church, and the Indians for seven days. This is a trip where we are able to be a huge blessing and share Christ with a community that needs Him desperately. Directly after the “Rez Trip”, as we call it, the Sonshine Teens head straight to Global Youth Camp on Lake Yale, here in Florida. Teen Camp is always a great time of fun, and more importantly, it allows the teens a whole week away from everyday distractions to spend time developing their relationship with Christ and other believers. Please be in prayer for both of these major trips this month. We know our God is mighty to save and change lives, and we want Him to work in and through us always! Between VBS, Mission Trip, Teen Camp, and all the other things going on here at Sonshine, there are always opportunities to get involved and serve.
