Bill and Charlotte Bales

Pastor and Mrs. Bales came to Sonshine in 1996. They met and married at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Pastor and Mrs. Bales have been in full time ministry since 1967. God has blessed their marriage and ministry. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Pastor Bales’ life verse is Joshua 1:9- “Have not I commanded thee, Be strong and of good courage. Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayd, for the Lord thy God is with thee withersover thou goest.”
Ben and Megan Jennings
Associate Pastor
Ben and Megan Jennings came to Sonshine Baptist Church in August of 2006, just a month after they got married. They met at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. While Ben grew up in Florida, Megan comes from Boise, Idaho! Pastor Ben and Megan love working at the church, and are excited to see people taking the next steps in their relationship with God! Their first child, Melana, was born in February 2010 and is an exciting addition to their family.
Corey and Jessica Kershner
Missions Interns
Corey & Jessica Kershner came on staff in June 2010. Corey & Jessica are both graduates of Baptist Bible College and plan to minister in East Asia. Corey & Jessica grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida under the pastorship of Park Street Baptist Church. They are excited to work with The River Children’s Ministries and help teach children the truth of the Word of God so they will know that it is a living book, filled with the answers for today’s issues.
